Good night girls!

Demorei muito tempo para postar, pois o meu portátil deu o berro.  O dinheiro que ia pagar pela reparação não compensava. Tive de acabar por comprar um novo. :(
It took me a long time to post because my laptop kicked the bucket. The money that I would pay for the repairs wouldn't be worth it. I ended up buying a new one. :(

Numa nota mais positiva, tenho várias coisas para vos mostrar, não só alguns bordados que terminei e iniciei, mas também tenho para vos mostrar o passeio que fiz com o meu marido para festejar o meu aniversário. Estejam atentas meninas. :)
On a more positive note, I have several things to show you, not just some stitching that I started and finished, but I also have to show you the trip I did with my husband to celebrate my birthday. Pay attention girls. :)

Hoje vou vos mostrar o meu 1º SAL que fiz para o blog da Nia, o Margaret Sherry Lovers Blog. Adorei bordá-lo. Acho que é lindíssimo. Já sei qual é o fim que lhe vou dar. Estou só a procurar o tecido perfeito para o transformar numa almofada. O que acham da ideia?
Today I will show you the 1st SAL I did for Nia's blog, the Margaret Sherry Lovers Blog. I loved stitching it. I think it's beautiful. I already know what I will use it for. I'm just looking for the perfect fabric to turn it into a pillow. What do you think of the idea?

No próximo post vou mostrar-vos algumas fotografias do nosso passeio.

It's my Birthday!!!!!!

Oh meu Deus!!! Não consigo acreditar que já tenho 30 anos. O tempo está a passar tão rapidamente. :( Como é que isso é possível?
Oh God!!! I can´t believe that I'm 30 already. Time is passing by so quickly! :( How is that possible?

March 2014 IHSW + Feira da Laranja Conventual 2014

Eu e o meu marido fomos visitar os meus pais a Tomar este fim de semana. Apesar de ter sido um fim de semana cheio, consegui fazer algumas cruzinhas para o IHSW de Março, tendo terminado mais um bordado pequeno. Escolhi novamente um gráfico da Margaret Sherry.  :) Gostam? 
My husband and I went to visit my parents in Tomar this weekend. Although it was a full weekend, I was able to do some stitches for the March IHSW, completing one more small work. I chose again a pattern of Margaret Sherry. :) Do you like it?  

 

A Feira da Laranja Conventual é um evento solidário, onde várias Associações e Entidades sem fins lucrativos do Município de Tomar, juntam-se e vendem vários doces, bolos e licores nas suas barraquinhas, cujos lucros revertem a favor das associações participantes. Tudo confeccionado a partir da laranja, produzida nos laranjais existentes no Convento de Cristo. Durante o dia houve animação com vários espectáculos de música e teatro.

The "Feira da Laranja Conventual" is a solidarity event, where many Associations and non-profit Entities of Tomar  Municipality get together and sell many sweets, cakes and liqueurs in their stalls, whose profits revert in favor of the participating Associations. Everything is made from orange, produced in existing orangeries in the "Convento de Cristo". During the day there was animation with many music shows and theater plays.   

 
Como a entrada para o perímetro da feira foi gratuita, pudemos visitar o Convento de Cristo e os jardins.   Visto ao vivo é muito melhor. Os detalhes das pinturas, as pedras trabalhadas, a paisagem.... é tudo lindo. :) Adorámos!

Since the entry to the fair perimeter was free, we were able to visit the "Convento de Cristo" and it's gardens. Seeing it live is much better. The paint details, the stonecraft, the view... everything is beautiful. :) We loved it!

Finalmente consegui bordar este gráfico. :) Vocês não imaginam os meses que eu estive à procura deste gráfico. Já tinha perdido quase a esperança, quando a Paula Miguel, do Fórum do Ponto Cruz mo enviou. Muito obrigada mais uma vez querida.
I have finally finished stitching this piece. :) You can´t imagine how many months I have been looking for this grafic. I had almost lost hope, when Paula Miguel, from Fórum do Ponto Cruz (portuguese for cross stitch forum), sent it to me. Thank you once again darling.

W.I.P.S. - Japanese Maiden

Já não vos mostro há muito tempo como está a evolução da Japanese Maiden da Dimensions que eu e o meu marido estamos a bordar. Está a avançar lentamente mas não vamos desistir. :) Espero que gostem.

It has been a long time since I have shown you all how the evolution of the Japanese Maiden from Dimensions, that my husband and I are stitching, is going. It's moving slowly but we will not give up. :) Hope you enjoy.

1º IHSW de 2014

Finalmente ganhei coragem e inscrevi-me, não em 1 mas 2  SAL´s, no blog da nossa querida Nia: Margaret Sherry Lovers. Decidi bordar o Spring Bouquet e o Bags of Fun. :) Sempre foi um desejo meu participar no blog dela. Espero que 2014 seja um ano em grande a nível de bordados. Vamos lá ver como corre. :)
I finally got the courage and signed up, not in 1 but 2 SAL's from our dear Nia's blog : Margaret Sherry Lovers. I decided to sticth Spring Bouquet and Bags of Fun :) It has always been my desire to participate in her blog. I hope that 2014 will be a great year in terms of stitching. Let's see how it goes. :)

Obviamente, não bordei isto tudo só neste fim de semana. Tenho bordado um pouco quase todos os dias à noite, quando chego do trabalho.
I didn't stitch this much only on this weekend, obviously. I have stitched a little almost every evening when I come back from work.
